Polysorbates are a class of non-ionic surfactants and emulsifiers, commonly used in various industries including food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. They are oily liquids derived from ethoxylated sorbitan (a derivative of sorbitol) esterified with fatty acids. Polysorbates are known for their ability to solubilize oils into water-based products, stabilize emulsions, and enhance texture.

Ensulizole, also known as Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid, is a water-soluble sunscreen agent primarily used to absorb UVB radiation. It's often incorporated into cosmetic products and sunscreens due to its ability to create a light, non-greasy feel. While effective at blocking UVB rays, it's typically combined with other UV filters for broader spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB. 

Mexoryl SX, also known as ecamsule or terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid, is a water-soluble, synthetic organic sunscreen ingredient developed by L'Oréal. It is primarily used to protect against UVA rays, which are known to contribute to premature skin aging and skin cancer. Mexoryl SX is a photostable filter, meaning it doesn't degrade when exposed to sunlight, providing effective and long-lasting protection. 

Parabens are a group of preservatives commonly used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and food products to prevent microbial growth and extend shelf life. They are effective against bacteria, fungi, and yeast. While parabens are generally considered safe at low concentrations, some concerns exist about potential endocrine disruption and skin irritation.

Benzophenone-3, also known as oxybenzone, is a chemical compound used as a UV filter in sunscreens and personal care products. It protects skin and other materials from harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation by absorbing and dissipating UV rays. It's a pale yellow, crystalline powder that is soluble in many organic solvents but has limited solubility in water.
