SLES appears as a viscous, clear to yellowish liquid with excellent foaming and cleansing properties. It easily dissolves in water and produces rich, stable foam, even in hard water conditions. Because of its superior cleaning ability and good skin compatibility at moderate concentrations, it is one of the most common surfactants used globally in shampoos, body washes, liquid detergents, and household cleaners.
